Do you have a Cake Price List?

I sure do. Pricing can be a little tricky without discussing your vision and what you’re wanting out of your cake and desserts.

Shoot me and email for all custom desserts and cakes and I’ll send you through a price guide.

Two tiers and any other more special orders and add ons will be discussed between us and I’ll be able to give you your own quote to reflect what you’re wanting to order. Send me a message and let’s get to talking cake!

Do you do Custom Cakes?

I do! All custom works and consultations are done via email (savemesomesweets@hotmail.com). I encourage you to save a few reference photos as they’re very helpful in designing your cake and desserts.

Payment is currently being taken via PayPal. You will receive an invoice once we have discussed your custom order and you have agreed to go forward. Your order will only be locked into my schedule once a 50% deposit has been received. The remainder of the payment will be due 7 days out from organised pick/delivery date.

Without the deposit, the order isn’t secured.

Can I Cancel or Reschedule?

Unfortunately, if you have to cancel within 7 days of your event, your deposit will be non-refundable because I will have already started prepping your cake/desserts.

If you have COVID/illness and need to postpone your event, that’s okay. If you have to cancel because of this within 7 days of your event, let me know ASAP and any money paid will be used as a credit for when you reschedule your event. This cake credit will be valid for 12 months from your cancellation.

Can you please copy this cake that I love?

Although I’m probably also a huge fan of the decorator/cake you’ve sent through as reference, I do not copy others works.

I can take inspiration for sure, but my best work always comes from my own mind where I can really let my creativity flow!

I always enjoy creating and designing the most when I’m given a theme (fairy, superhero etc) and a colour scheme!

How much notice do I need to book a custom cake or dessert?

As much as possible. All cakes and desserts are on a first in, first served basis. I’m currently only booking custom work within a 6 month time frame.

For the express range, the notice is much shorter as these cakes are designed for those who want a quick cake for a smaller celebration (or just because!).

Do you offer cake tastings?

Currently I only offer tastings for larger custom cake bookings.

This is something I would definitely love to be able to do in the future, and when I do, my social media will be the first place I announce it so keep your notifications on and eyes peeled.

Where are you located and can you deliver?

The council registered kitchen is located in Maribyrnong, approximately 10kms from the CBD of Melbourne. Pick up is available as well as delivery, both at an mutually agreed time and date.

Delivery is subject to my availability and the fee is calculated by distance from my kitchen to your destination. When we are discussing your booking, I will ask which you would prefer and send you a quote for delivery.

I highly recommend all larger and/or wedding/engagement cakes to be delivered.

How do I transport my cake and desserts?

I’m glad you asked! The best way to do so is the push your passenger seat all the way back and sit the cake box nice and straight on the floor in front of the seat. If the cake is too large, you can also store it on a flat surface in your boot space. And crank that air conditioning all the way up for your journey!

Cake should be stored in the fridge until 1 hour or so prior to serving. Room temperature is the best way to enjoy your goodies. Please read your cake care guide that is included in your order to make the most of the desserts â˜º

Can you accomodate dietary requirements?

Unfortunately as I am operating in a small home kitchen, I cannot accomodate those with dietary requirements at this moment in time.

I try to minimise all cross contamination but as I use shared equipment and ovens, there is traces of soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sulphites, lupin and gluten.
